Seeking to understand where colleagues sit on AI
AI use has ballooned over the last few years and many non-profits and charities are struggling to decide a path forward. As found in my report, staff in climate organisations are divided in their views on AI, and even if organisations don't have formalised AI policies, some staff are likely using tools in their work. This mix results in challenging conversations.

This workshop gives your team the chance to develop a shared understanding of AI and co-create your next steps, responding to the voices in the room and your organisation's context.
Participants could be mostly against AI use, mostly in favour, or hold a mix of views – this workshop caters to all types of groups.

This workshop includes:
-
A pre-workshop survey for participants to reflect on their personal views towards AI and their use of these tools.
-
Facilitated discussion, holding space for a variety of views – from those opposed to generative AI to those already using it in their work.
-
Bringing out safeguards and red lines for your team.
-
Co-created next steps for AI use in the organisation, depending on the views present in the room – whether that's a staff policy, simple AI experiments, education of your supporters, or something else.

There is a lot of hype around AI and its impacts, and rightly so. As explored in my report, people in climate organisations are worried about a range of effects of AI, including environmental impacts, privacy and security, and power consolidation by Big Tech.

This workshop gives your team the chance to learn about the impacts of AI as they relate to your organisation and sector, and explore how to move forward with responsible AI use.

This workshop includes:
-
Pre-workshop survey for participants to reflect on their personal views towards AI and air any concerns they hold.
-
A presentation on an array of AI's impacts across the whole supply chain, focusing on your sector.
-
Tangible methods to combat some of the impacts.
-
Optional: A facilitated discussion about AI impacts as they relate to your organisation.

Most tech products have some form of AI embedded within them these days, but your team might not be fully across how to get the most out of it. There are also new tools constantly emerging for email automation, fundraising, data analysis, video editing and more.

This workshop gives your team the chance get the most out of the AI tools within your tech stack – and to learn some new ones too.

This workshop includes:
-
A pre-workshop survey and call to understand what your team wants to get out of the workshop.
-
Real-world examples and exercises to use your desired tools within your team's context.
-
Optional: 2 extra hours of support over the next month to implement the tools

My experience with AI
I've always had an interest in efficient tech systems and how non-profits and advocacy organisations can get the most out of them, letting stretched staff focus on the stuff that matters.
In 2025, supported by Surge Climate Talent, I completed three months of research on climate organisations and how they're approaching AI. Throughout this time, I deep-dived into AI, its uses and its impacts, especially as they relate to climate. This work resulted in a report on AI in the climate movement, and a huge amount of knowledge that I am keen to share with your organisation.
